Sports Chiropractic Care
Dr. Tilyr is certified by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP) and the Council on Extremity Adjusting (CEA). For more information, check out HERE and HERE.
As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), he has completed extensive training in chiropractic sports medicine and physical fitness. As a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP), he has also completed extensive training in the chiropractic adjusting techniques related to extremity issues, such as shoulder, knee, or foot pain.
Dr. Tilyr enjoys working with athletes since he himself is an athlete. As a basketball player and dedicated weightlifter, he understands the stresses that athletic training can create on the body. These repetitive stresses can lead to vertebral subluxations (spinal misalignments) and misalignments in the joints of the extremities, which often lead to pain. Through specific chiropractic care, he is able to help decrease pain and improve joint function.

Therapeutic Cupping
Therapeutic cupping can be used to promote myofascial decompression and increase joint mobility. During a cupping session, round cups around placed directly on your skin and manually pumped to a certain pressure. The cups are then left on the skin for several minutes.
Cupping was used in ancient Chinese and Egyptian medicine to treat ailments of the body. At Summit, our doctors use cupping for pain relief and musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains, strains, or back injuries, or to help lessen general muscle tension. It is believed that the suction created by the cup encouraged blood flow – encouraging healing and decreasing pain1.
For most patients, cupping is safe to try and can complement chiropractic care. Many patients report less pain immediately following their cupping treatment.
